TERUMAH • OFFERING (SHEMOT/EXODUS)

Exodus 25:1-27:19 • 1 Kings 5:26-6:13 Order & Chaos 40 Days on Mt. Sinai. What kind of offering & sacrifice are we involved in? The Torah portion introduces us to God speaking to Moses for 40 days on Mt.Sinai. While he is hearing teaching for Israel, somehow they are already doing the opposite at the base of the mountain. Instead of the offering to build God's House, they are taking an offering to build a Golden calf (next weeks Torah portion). What we find is a gracious God who continues to reveal to Moses His eternal plan for His people despite the chaos below. It's a big picture!
