This Saturday & Sunday we celebrate Rosh Chodesh Elul. The begginning of the Jewish month of Elul signals the start of a season of reflection leading up to the Rosh Hashana, the Jewish New Year. In fact, Rosh Chodesh Elul is itself one of the traditional new years. Why do we celebrate so many new years and why does it matter?
