TIM'S BRIT MILAH • ACTS 16:1

Acts 16:1 Rav Sha’ul’s decision to have Timothy circumcised (Brit Milah) is an interesting anecdote to the “Post Jerusalem Councel” decsion to receive uncircumcised gentiles into the Body of Messiah may appear puzzeling at first. But it is actually very helpful to understand his brit Milah in being able tofollow Paul’s “to the Jew first” theology of Romans 1:16, “For I am not ashamed of the Good News, since it is God’s powerful means of bringing salvation to everyone who keeps on trusting, to the Jew especially, but equally to the Gentile.
