Children of Israel & Wilderness

Why does God call the children of Israel children? Because they are a new born nation, born out the womb of Egypt. Now they are in the wilderness (The World). God gives them imperfect fathers & mothers (Moses, Miriam, Aaron). But they all have a supernatural guide to lead from slavery, through the wilderness and to the promised Land flowing with milk and honey. It's a perilous journey.
